Raw food with more than only raw foodstuff!


With raw food, one pragmatically looks at all foodstuffs that had not heated such as by cooking, baking and frying, but instead had been completely unprocessed foodstuffs and come in their natural form. Most of the times, rarely a homogenous raw food is present, rather it exists in various forms parallel to each other. Rest everything is same, but the major portion is non-heated fresh food.


A raw food diet can be both, either vegetarian or only „raw“. With respect to the respective combinations of diet forms such as vegan and vegetarian, following combinations have resulted:
Raw and vegan:  Vegetables, fruits, herbs, edible leaves and flowers, nuts, dried fruits (sun dried), seeds, mushroom, avocados, olives and oil (cold pressed) can be consumed.


Raw and vegetarian: Fruits and vegetables as well as raw milk cheese and raw milk products as well as honey (comb honey and extracted honey) and eggs can be consumed.


Raw and non-vegetarian: Animal products, such as ham, Carpaccio, Tatar steak as well as dried meat and dried fish such as salmon, tuna, herring and pickled herring can also be added to the list of foods that can be consumed.  
The background to this form of diet is that, people assume that all essential components remain back and will become ineffective if heated. This mainly includes vitamins, enzymes and trace elements which are still present in highest possible quantity in the raw food. It further strives to obtain a harmony consistent with the human body and nature. Aspects such as environment protection, animal protection, religion, values of life and ethnical aspects play a huge role even with the adoption of vegetarian diet!
A few starting points of the raw food movement are, that the consumption of raw foodstuffs will work against the so-called civilization disorders, will give energy to body and increase efficiency and gradually give a long healthy life. The assumption that, in course of evolution, the human body has consumed raw food and not cooked form of food forms the basis for positive effect on the body. After this, our body has consumed raw food with confidence, but as cooked and processed food.


The consumption of vegan and vegetarian diet is beneficial for the person himself, if he adds basic facts to his knowledge regarding the diet as well as on the foodstuffs, since an unbalanced diet, in rare cases may be hazardous to health. It is also applicable: the more varied diet, the better! From health point of view, one should pay close attention to providing the body with Proteins, Vitamin D and B 12 as well as Zinc and iodine. Most of the time raw foods people become true experts in sense of our diet or during the entire lifetime.
