Bio-leben Couscous, manufactured from durum wheat 500 g

Couscous is a type of semolina native to the Far East region and with it you can prepare delicious salads, burgers, casseroles and desserts.

Basic Recipe:
Put 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp table salt 1/4 litre water in a saucepan mix them together and allow it to boil. Remove the saucepan from flame, mix 250 g Couscous and leave it for 2 minutes – if required, add a little more water. Then mix 2 to 3 teaspoon butter or 1 teaspoon olive oil and leave it on low flame for 3 - 5 minutes while continuously stirring till it is completely cooked.

Our recipe suggestion: ’Couscous with Tomatoes’ "

Prepare 250 g couscous (as described above). Add 1 chopped onion in 2 tbsp. olive oil and cook till they become transparent. Add 6 skinned, diced tomatoes and 1 bunch of chopped parsley. Cook till all the liquid has evaporated. Then pour salt, pepper and 200 ml of hot water. Mix couscous and if necessary, add 5 tbsp. of grated Emmental cheese.
