Everyone knows about stawberry and eats it with pleasure. Strawberry has been relished even before thousands of years ago in the Stone Age. Now the so-called Garden Strawberry is also often known as Pineapple Strawberry or Cultivated berries. There are more than 100 different varieties, mostly with large fruits. From botanical point of view, the strawberry is not a berry but a drupe.

We associate Strawberry with the summer, warm temperatures, a sweet refreshing taste and an attractive intense flavor. We offer all these in our dried strawberries and apart from this, in excellent organic quality.

Our organic strawberries are ripened on our own certified organic fields, near Samarkand. Here in Uzbekistan, they flourish in warm and cloudless summers till they form fruity and intensely sweet organic strawberries.
In Uzbekistan, they are taken care by gentle labor and the cultivation, harvesting as well as drying (solar drying) is undertaken by our subsidiary Silk Road Organic (organic) Foods. Uzbekistan lies in Central Asia, along the famous Silk Road. Silk Road Organic (organic) Food has its main processing site near Samarkand and specializes in the production of organic (eco) dried fruits and organic nuts. The production is yielded by environmental friendly solar dryers that do not damage the product. All this is regularly monitored by the ABG (Austrian Organic Guarantee) and is certified as per the EC Eco regulation (EU 834/2007) and NOP (Nation Organic Program).

Our organic Strawberries are carefully plucked when ripe, cut in halves and  then gently and slowly dried in the sun on our own solar dryers (sun drying). Drying in the sun is a careful job, but this ensures that all the essential ingredients as well as the flavor is completely retained.

Our dried organic Strawberries are obtained from only the best fruits. It goes without saying, that they do not contain any additives like preservatives or dyestuffs and are non-sulphurized. Our dried Strawberries are a 100 % natural product.
We disinfest (disinfestation) all our organic Strawberries so that there is no loss of quality due to infestation by insects.
In order to guarantee that they are free from pesticides, we get them inspected by an independent accredited Austrian laboratory in batches.

Strawberries are an excellent, wholesome source of vitamin C. They have a strong, detoxifying, diuretic and skin tightening effect. Moreover, dried strawberries are also very rich in fiber (15 g in 100 g), magnesium (in 100 g, 32% of the recommended daily requirement is contained) and they have a high antioxidant capacity of 4302 µmol TE (ORAC value).

Our dried organic strawberries are very beautiful in shape and color, with color range from light to dark red. This makes them quite attractive for decorating food.
Moreover, dried Organic Strawberries lends a pleasant sweet fruit taste to your homemade cereals, yoghurt, cakes, muffins, milk shakes, desserts and jams. Dried strawberries can also be added as a perfect ingredient in salads (Roquette, Asparagus and Chicory) due to its beautiful interplay of flavor from spicy and fruity sweet.
