The organic cherry plum is similar in shape (spherical) and lusciousness of the cherry, but however, the kernel resembles a plum. Our organic cherry plums are sweet and sour wild growing fruits. They develop a particularly good flavor due to drying; they then become a special kind of experience for the palate, with plenty of fruitiness and sourness. Even the color of the fruit with varying accents of yellow, cherry red to dark red are appealing for the eyes and definitely worthy of money.

Like Cherry, the Cherry Plum belongs to the Rosaceae family, from which the name "Mountain Rose" has been derived. They grow on low trees or shrubs in mountainous regions. The Cherry Plum is the original form of the Plum. They were established in the Central Europe far back in the 16th Century.

Our organic Cherry Plums are obtained from wild areas of the European Union or from natural, isolated, certified organic natural reserves in Usbekistan (Uzbekistan). Uzbekistan lies in Central Asia, along the famous Silk Road.

The production is yielded by environmental friendly solar dryers that do not damage the product.

When ripe, our organic (eco) cherry plums are manually harvested, pitted, gently dried in the sun (solar dried) and then disinfested (Disinfestation). They do not contain any preservatives or dyestuffs.

In order to avoid kernels or parts of kernels in the final product, these are sorted by laser (laser cleaning) several times by the company AFS (All food services, our processing plant in Austria) after processing. Note: We can use our laser-cleaning system to clean cherries (or other products) from undesired foreign particles such as kernels, skin, vitreous etc. as per your specifications and requirements.

Organic Cherry plum lends your cereals, cakes and desserts a fruity, sour taste and also gives a certain extra flavor to savory cuisines like chutneys and sauces. The organic Cherry Plum can also be processed to form Chutney and like all other organic cherries, it is perfectly suitable as a vegetarian (vegan) healthy raw vegetable for munching in between meals.
